Lystra N. Antoine boasts an impressive career in development and professional training in mass communications. Antoine is the founder and CEO of LIVEwithLA, which is dedicated to delivering insightful, engaging, and interesting development discussions. Throughout her 25-year international development career, she moderated and hosted numerous development discussions, largely in agriculture and food systems. Her expertise has been sought after by organizations such as the World Bank, the IFC, FAO, FCDO, GFFI, and AGRA, among others. Antoine is known for her warm and professional demeanor, as well as her extensive knowledge of the subject matter. She has a unique ability to keep discussions engaging for all participants.
Antoine is an accomplished leader who has made significant contributions to the development of safe, sustainable, and reliable food systems. With over 20 years of experience at the World Bank, Antoine worked with institutions and country leaders to design and implement development programs and projects across multiple regions, including South Asia, Africa, Europe and Central Asia, and East Asia.
From 2012 – 2016, Antoine served as the CEO of the Global Food Safety Partnership (GFSP), a public-private partnership that facilitates global cooperation for food safety capacity building. She managed the design and development of impactful food safety programs and partnerships, expanding the GFSP’s impact in Africa and Asia and including developing country representation, India, on the GFSP Governing Committee. Antoine was also responsible for designing and leading the implementation of agriculture development initiatives at DuPont Pioneer, where she served as the Global Director for Agriculture Development.

Antoine managed investor relations and resource mobilization for CGIAR, the largest global agricultural innovation network. She holds an MBA from SUNY Buffalo and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
